Attendance
How to record attendance in SPLAT:
- Open your class.
- By default, your class will open in ‘Attendance‘ mode. In case it doesn’t:
- Tap the mode icon on the upper right corner of your screen.
- From the modes list, select ‘Attendance‘.
- Upon opening your class in ‘Attendance‘ mode, all your learners are automatically marked as ‘Present‘.
- By default, your class will open in ‘Attendance‘ mode. In case it doesn’t:
- Change the attendance status of your learners as necessary.
- Tap a learner’s name once to mark as ‘Absent‘.
- The name of the learner marked as ‘Absent’ will be grayed-out.
- If the same learner arrived a few minutes after the class started, tap the name once again to mark as ‘Tardy‘.
- Learners marked as ‘Tardy‘ will have an orange indicator alongside their names.
- Tapping the learner’s name for the 3rd time will change the status back to ‘Present‘.
- Tap a learner’s name once to mark as ‘Absent‘.
Updating a past-dated attendance record
- Go to your daily schedule. (This is your landing page upon logging into SPLAT)
- Navigate to the appropriate day using the left arrow button beside the current date.
- Open your class under the correct date.
- By default, your class will open in ‘Attendance‘ mode. In case it doesn’t:
- Tap the mode icon on the upper right corner of your screen.
- From the modes list, select ‘Attendance‘.
- By default, your class will open in ‘Attendance‘ mode. In case it doesn’t:
- Tap the name of the learner that you wish to update the attendance of.
- Select the appropriate attendance status from the drop-down menu.
- As an added layer of protection to any previously saved attendance record, you will be required to add comments when updating attendance status of your learners from past dates e.g. “Tagged incorrectly.”
